There must be five stages for the religious right to lose a policy that used to belong to it:
- "That's blasphemy!"
- "It's unnatural!"
- "Society will completely break down!"
- "It's just my opinion, but if you disagree with it you're being mean."
- "La la la la! I can't hear you!"
The main 2 differences between this and the 5 stages of grief are that there's hardly ever any acceptance, and it's nearly always denial.
